Introduction to Statistics – Part 2 (STA2)

Training course objectives

This methods course teaches advanced statistical techniques and is designed to support our product training courses. Our methods courses are designed to be software-independent, and are also suitable for interested parties who do not work with the Statistica program.

Target group

This course is designed for professionals in service or industrial companies who use multivariate estimation techniques and want to model data.

Course contents

This course teaches sophisticated statistical methods in a practical way and without extensive mathematical derivations. Complex analysis methods are presented graphically.

The subjects

  • Basics of the Linear Model (LM)
  • Regression
  • ANOVA / ANCOVA in LM
  • Random effects in LM
  • Poisson regression
  • Logistic regression
  • Problems in LM

The training consists of an explanation of the mentioned procedures and possible fields of application. Examples in our standard courses are generally understandable data sets from different application areas.

Requirements

This course requires knowledge from the course "Introduction to Statistics - Part 1" (STA1).

Complementary courses

For further consolidation, we offer our "Efficient Data Management (EDM)” methodology course. We recommend the product courses "Statistica Analytics" (ANL1) as well as "Statistica Advanced Analytics" (ANL2) as individual training (request individual training) for the practical implementation of data analysis with the Statistica software.
